Account and sync
I don't receive the registration or verification email. What can I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first. That is where the verification email most often ends up.
The next time you sign in with an unverified account, the app automatically sends the verification email once more.
Note for T-Online: Our emails are sometimes not delivered to @t-online.de addresses. It is best to use a different email address, for example Gmail, GMX or web.de.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
With cloud sync. It backs up timetables, tasks, exams and grades to your account and keeps all devices on the same state.
- On the old phone: Sign in to the app or create an account, then turn on sync in the settings under "Cloud sync". Wait until "Last time synchronized" shows a recent time.
- On the new phone: Install the app, sign in with the same account and turn on cloud sync. Your data is loaded automatically.
You can also view your timetable in the browser at app.stundenplan-deluxe.de at any time.
Can I edit my timetable in the browser too?
Yes. At app.stundenplan-deluxe.de you sign in with the same account as in the app and can create and edit your timetable, tasks, exams and grades right in the browser. That is especially handy for typing in a new timetable with a keyboard.
Cloud sync has to be turned on in the app, see the previous question. Changes made in the browser show up on your phone after the next sync, and vice versa.
Can I share my timetable with others?
Yes, since version 8.1 you can share a timetable with classmates, friends or parents right in the app:
- Open the timetable and tap the share icon at the top.
- Invite the person by email address. They need a Stundenplan Deluxe account with that address.
- Choose whether they may only view the timetable or also edit it.
- Once they accept the invitation, they see your timetable in their own app under "Shared with me", including any changes you make later.
You can change or revoke access at any time, and invited people can leave the timetable whenever they like. Cloud sync has to be turned on in your app, and the timetable must already be synced.
Alternatively, export the timetable as an image or PDF and send or print it like any other file.
Pricing and Plus
Is Stundenplan Deluxe free?
Yes. Timetable, tasks, exams, grades and holidays are free to use.
The free version shows ads and limits the number of timetables, tasks and exams. Plus removes those limits and is meant for everyone who wants to use the app long-term and without restrictions.
What does Plus add?
Plus unlocks everything that is limited or not included in the free version:
- Unlimited timetables, tasks and exams
- Home screen widgets
- Automatic muting during lessons
- Access to the online holiday database
- Calculated overall grades and averages
- Image export of your timetable
- No ads
Plus is available as a yearly or monthly subscription. You can see the current prices on the Plus page in the app. Your subscription also supports the ongoing development of the app.
How do I manage or cancel my Plus subscription?
The Plus subscription is billed through Google Play and managed there as well:
- In the app: On the Plus page, your active subscription shows a button that takes you straight to subscription management in Google Play.
- Directly in Google Play: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, or in the Play Store app via your profile picture and "Payments and subscriptions".
There you can view the subscription, change the payment method or cancel. After cancelling, Plus stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
Auto Silence
Auto silence isn't working. What can I check?
Auto silence runs in the background and needs a few permissions from Android. Check these points in order:
- Plus: Auto silence is a Plus feature and has to be turned on in the app settings.
- Permissions: The app needs mode control (changing Do Not Disturb), notifications and precise scheduling. If something is missing, the app asks for it in the auto silence settings.
- Battery optimisation: Turn it off for Stundenplan Deluxe (Android settings, Apps, Stundenplan Deluxe, Battery, "Unrestricted"). Otherwise Android stops the app in the background before it can mute.
- Manufacturer quirks: Some manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung or OnePlus add their own power-saving rules that kill background apps. Find a guide per manufacturer at dontkillmyapp.com.
- Timetable: The phone is only muted during lessons entered in the active timetable.
On Android 17 there is an additional restriction for silent and vibrate, see the next question.
Why does auto silence no longer switch my phone to silent or vibrate on Android 17?
Since Android 17, for example on a Google Pixel 11, apps are no longer allowed to change the ringer mode (silent or vibrate) in the background. The system drops the request without an error, so turning off battery optimisation does not help. Do Not Disturb is not affected and keeps working.
This affects every app that switches the ringer mode automatically, not just Stundenplan Deluxe. The Leitstelle Lausitz describes the same problem for emergency alert apps, for example.
What you can do:
- Pick Do Not Disturb instead of silent or vibrate in the auto silence settings. It has practically the same effect.
- From version 8.1 the app does this automatically on Android 17 and points it out on the settings page.
Details are in Google's description of the change.
